This EP is a collection of five nostalgic and emotionally intense pieces that continue in Stonehocker's life trajectory of honest and vulnerable lyrics.  The focus track, “Little Star Flake” is a dreamy acoustic rock love song melded with nostalgic indie pop.  The song explores a cosmic motif and captures the feeling of being saved by love just before burning out.  Included on the EP are the previous releases “Year of My Memory” and “Angel” in which Stonehocker sings about his battles with depression, yearning for love, and sharing in another’s suffering through solidarity.

All the songs on the EP “Songs From Yesterday” are for anyone who’s ever felt lost, numb, or close to fading out; they’re about the family, friends, and loves of our life.  The song “Little Star Flake” is a poetic reminder to hold onto the person who brings you back to life.  It’s about a fragile hope, a quiet love, and the feeling that maybe you were meant to find each other.
